- What kind of websites and web apps can I host on LightPloy?
- WordPress, Laravel, Statamic, classic PHP sites, static sites (plain HTML or a build from React, Vue and the like) and Node.js apps such as Express, Next.js or Nuxt. We install WordPress for you, so you don't need Git for it. When you create a site, you see which types your plan includes.
- Where does my site run?
- On our Kubernetes platform in the Netherlands, run by Eye4ICT. Every account gets its own isolated environment with reserved capacity. You don't need to know anything about Kubernetes.
- How do Git deploys work?
- Connect a repository from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or any other Git server; private repositories connect with a deploy key or an access token. Every push to the branch you choose starts a new deploy, with a log for each one. If a new version doesn't work, roll back to an earlier deploy from the portal.
- Do you make backups?
- Yes. LightPloy makes backups automatically on your plan's schedule and keeps them for as long as your plan specifies. You can also make a backup yourself at any time. Restores are done from the portal.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. Add your domain in the portal, check the DNS and HTTPS is set up automatically. If your DNS is at Cloudflare, connect your Cloudflare account and LightPloy creates the DNS record for you.
- Can I work with my team, and how is my account secured?
- Invite colleagues by email as owner, admin or member. You can log in with two-factor authentication through an authenticator app, or with a passkey.
- How does billing work?
- Each plan has a monthly price; current prices and VAT details are on this page. Invoices come from Eye4ICT, the company behind LightPloy.
